Trying to get myself motivated as I was recovering from being in the hospital, my neighbor was an angel to me by giving me the help needed. I was weak and she went with me to walk as it was suggested by the social worker at the hospital I should not be out walking alone.
With Shirley’s support and encouragement I began to gain my strength again. She is truly a very caring, understanding and helpful person.

This is a really really great thing you are doing I want to thank both of you for engaging in this endeavor.   I can’t think of two greater people to reach out and help those in need than you Shirley and you Fred.  So many of the elderly feel alone these days, and knowing that someone is there to help them and spend time with them gives them something to look forward to.  I tried to take care of my Mom, but after a while, it just takes its toll on a person, you need someone else to help. My name is Ricky and I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when I was born. It’s been a rollercoaster ride my whole life. In and out of the hospital, sick one day and ok the next. Fred and Shirley have been in my life since 1992. They have been there for me, providing anything and everything I could not do myself. Right down and through my double lung transplant that has given me a second chance at life. God Bless them and what they do for people like me who need help.
